Both are profound and extensive subjects with huge libraries of commentary and original writing none of which I have studied. It does seem to me though that it boils down to whether you feel there is an external, universal, abstract Right and Wrong, in which case you can begin to work out ideas of Justice and Injustice, which then allows you to work on guilt and punishment, perhaps to the extent that you may rationalize behavior of your own that others who think similarly though grounded on different systems might find inadmissible.
