Café Paradox

The life I wanted to live
Went on without me
Following a course
I had imagined
At the time of my decision
Not to live it

The life I chose to live instead
Allowed me a certain liberty
To see what I might have become
Deprived of the opportunity
Of being someone other than
Who I actually am

An overpriced place, with overrated writers.

You took the road more frequently traveled, and no doubt there is some difference.

You could still wear a beret but I would hope you would only do it in the shower when no one is looking and you are pretending to be Gene Kelly in Singing in the Rain.

Gene Kelly's older brother, Fred
taught Gene how to dance... Fred was in only one of Gene's movies

a year before Fred died.... he held a tap class at a dance school here...

my daughter danced with him.

there is much more to Paris than the Beat-ten Path

going via the side-streets affords one
less of a risk of becoming what one pretends to be
